Pat Grant: Building Confidence Through Theatre for Over 30 Years
Founder of Class Act
Early Passion & Foundation
From his earliest days in Waterford, Pat discovered a profound love for theatre that would shape his life's work. His passion was first ignited at The Grant Power School of Performing Arts, De La Salle College, and local musical societies, where he participated in various productions and found inspiration under the mentorship of Gary Power, Tara Ann Byrne and Michelle Condon all of whom nurtured his love for performance.
This foundation grew into a lifelong dedication to the performing arts, with Pat's involvement continuing through his teen years and blossoming into a professional career that has touched countless young lives across Waterford and beyond.

The Heart Behind Class Act
What truly sets Pat apart is his genuine focus on the child's experience above all else. "While I take pride in my productions," Pat explains, "my true passion lies in seeing each child discover their voice and grow in confidence, all whilst making friends and having fun. The performance space is simply the vehicle we use to build lifelong skills and self-belief." This child-centered approach, combined with his extensive social care background, creates the unique Class Act philosophy where confidence building takes priority over perfect performances.
Rooted in Waterford Community
A lifelong Waterford local, Pat's deep community ties inform his work. He met his wife during a production of ‘Brigadoon’ and together they're raising their two children with the same love for the arts that has defined his career. His reputation throughout Waterford is built on honest, hardworking dedication to creating inclusive environments where every child can shine.
